Windchill Quality Solutions has been a new addition to the PTC Windchill suite. It provide an extension to Windchill Change Management to facilitate Quality related changes and support various industry based analysis/risk processes. This has been a major beneficiary to the Medical industry. This includes various aspects of quality management such as DHF/DHR/CAPA/NC/CE/eMDR management and release processes with many more to it.

This is highly beneficial when businesses want to bring their current manufacturing processes under one seamless application i.e Windchill PLM.
The challenge kept before us was to move the legacy data and current data from Legacy Quality solution to Windchill. As of today Windchill Bulk Migrator does not support Windchill Quality Objects. It was quite a research based activity to device an application that facilitated the data transformation and bulk migration of CAPA/NC/CE from various source objects into Windchill. The product being new it was challenge to get information on various APIs on how these objects are designed and created in Windchill.
After several rounds of attempts we were successfully able to generate a well performing application that could Transform and load CAPA/NC/CE data into Windchill.
The new WindChillDS UI is too complex and boring to work on. I tried to search some tools which could be handy to work on LDAP and found this tool JExplorer.
This tool gives the feel of the old Aphelion browser and has many cool feature that makes it way handy than WindChillDS.
Where to get it…
